New PCs will boot up ‘in seconds’

Seen this info all over the internet and its so misleading, what this replacement for the bios (UEFI) will actually do is make the point between hitting the power on button and the first instance of the hard disk to start loading seconds, rather than the 30+ seconds you can wait on some pc’s now before they get past the post screen. It does not mean when you hit the power on button, windows will appear after a few seconds 😉

New Android tablet

High street retailer Next has just launched a Android tablet, which costs £180, has a 10in screen, 8GB of storage, and is WiFi and uses an ARM processor, and Google’s Android.

I think you are going to see a truckload of Android tablets by Christmas with better specs and many more functions than Apple’s iPad and also much cheaper.

Still prefer a laptop or netbook myself, maybe that might change with the new offerings, and as nice as the Apple iPad is, is way too expensive to me for what it does and offers.
One purely for the Mac fan Boys/Girls.

Pop over to The Telegraph for more info on this one from Next.

Spektrum DX8

This new Radio from Spektrum interests me because mainly of its built in telemetry, so you can monitor in realtime the state of your lipo or rpm etc.

The things it monitors right now look a bit basic to me, but I would hope in time as this Tx can be upgraded by downloadable firmware that extra features will be added to that and as extra addons come out.

This looks a interesting bit of kit and I am sure all the other makes will be bringing out new Units themselves with telemetry.

About £300.00 over here in Uk.

T-REX 700E 3G Super Combo KX018E01

For those into helis, you have to say Align really make some lovely looking machines.

Seen it for £1,115.00 over here in the UK.

Of course to that you have to add your own receiver , Transmitter.

And of course batteries which are really expensive for a model of this size.
Nice bit of kit though 🙂
